This is the online home for the Printed Matters project, a three year study of the intersection of print and digital culture in the independent creative communities established around Melbourne, Australia.

Printed Matters will explore a range of issues relevant to publishing online and in-print: from work practice and wages to the aesthetics of books and blogs. About the Author

Caroline D Hamilton works in the Department of Publishing and Communications at the University of Melbourne and is the author of One Man Zeitgeist, a book about the rise and rise of Dave Eggers.
